Leamington continues to deliver good quality and fair work. Although we are a small company we ensure there are appropriate channels for effective voice. We make no inappropriate use of zero hours contracts; we take action to tackle the gender pay gap and create a more diverse and inclusive workplace; and we pay the real Living Wage.
In terms of workforce development we provide on the job training in every instance, and additional training usually through courses provided by Publishing Scotland.
Read the Scottish Government's Fair Work First guidance (updated November 2024) (target opens in new window).
In line with the Scottish Business Pledge which we have signed, we pay attractive hourly rates to our contractors and always pay our staff above minimum wage. We ensure we employ a diverse range of skilled design contractors and editors. We employ young and new designers and others, and take advantage of networks such as Publishing Scotland, Paisley Book Festival, EIBF and Society of Young Publishers (SYP) Scotland. We have paid membership to SYP Scotland for every staff and intern since 2020 (12 annual memberships in total).
We are a Real Living Wage employer
