Sean McNulty was born in Dundalk, Ireland. His work has been featured in The Honest Ulsterman, thi-wurd, and Epoque Press and he was a finalist in the 2018 Irish Novel Fair. He lived in China for a decade, teaching in Wuhan and Shanghai, and is now based in Dublin.
I love the humility of the novella. Sometimes a short story is just too quick for my liking, and sometimes a whole novel just goes on and on and on... Both can be great. But too proud of themselves and their respective thicknesses more often than not. The novella isn't afraid to fall when you stand it upright against its brash relatives. For when it falls it knows it will be picked up.
